eZShopy – A Grocery Delivery Startup was conceptualized in March this year by Anuj Sarpal & Daksh Wadhwa. Anuj is a CA with 15 years of work experience in Organizations like Google, RBS and etc.
What inspired you to start ezshopy?
There are a lot of factors that inspired to get into this category event though its a low margin portfolio .
1) The product category chosen is something which everyone procures at least 2-4 times in a month.
2) There are very limited discounts available currently in this category of the products by the Local stores.
3) Grocery shopping is becoming a tedious exercise week on week , with very less parking space and too much of traffic on roads and long queues in the big departmental stores.
From the very start I have a zeal to simplify processes provide solutions to the problems, so even though I have been in Accounting throughout my carrier have been focused solely on providing solutions to large and complex problems and processes.
Indian Market is ready for a boom , with the economy growing and the middle class having more disposable income and aspirational spending with limited time on their disposal. I thought this is the right time to venture into the market of grocery segment and solve the problem of limited time available with the consumers and providing quality products.

Ezshopy is an online grocery store with more than 5000 products which gives you an easy way to buy grocery online in Delhi. We deliver grocery items without any delivery charges.

How did the idea for your company come about?
It was ideated while I was with Google back in 2009 , but at that time the Indian market was not at all matured towards online purchases leave alone procuring groceries and household products online. So it was kept on a shelf but in 2014 I decided to take a plunge and based on the Indian market scenario was it was turbulent period working in the morning with my Organization and late till nights on eZShopy and eventually it came into existence in April 2015.

We have 800 Registered customers with the expected revenue touching INR 10 Lacs Per month.
Your current target regions and future plans?
Currently we are focusing on Gurgaon, South Delhi & Dwarka & regions adjoining Dwarka. Our future plan is to establish Pan NCR network.
What do you think are the most important factors that will make your company a success?
Quality of Service we provide to our end customer will be the key differentiator in the overall game.

There are many My Mom, Steve Jobs, Ashoka, Narendra Modi and the list goes on and on 🙂
What words of advice would you give to other young entrepreneurs?
Don’t loose the track when you started your own in the first place, as a lot time people tend to forget why they are there in the game in the first place.
